Yesterday I was at the opening of Steve Madden in Amsterdam. I wouldn’t miss it for the world!  Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian ar already addicted to the splendid shoes. I got a beautiful pair of Steve Madden shoes as a gift (thanks guys!)

Party & Peek-a-Boo’s: United Nude collaboration with Iris van Herpen

Rem D Koolhaas & Galahad Clark, these are two men I love. I love them for the simple reason that they created United Nude. These are not just your regular shoes, what they create are architecture-like miracles. I was filled with joy to be invited for the presentation party for the new fall/winter collection. Wait there’s more, United Nude & Iris van Herpen (major designer) collaborated on these very cool ankle boots. You recognize Iris van Herpen immediately in this shoe because of the fishbone-like cut out in the leather. It’s hand-made out of Italian leather and comes in black and Ivory with golden details. They’re limited editions so if anybody feels the need to do some charity you’re welcome to buy me these fabulous creations, they will have a warm & loving home (seriously I’m not kidding). Anyway the party took place in the United Nude store in Amsterdam, it was co-hosted by Mykromag and Rem D Koolhaas & Iris van Herpen attended in person! Next to the Iris van Herpen shoe I saw countless of other pairs that made my wallet cry out’ it’s ok just open me’, ‘ I demand you to buy this’. Unfortunately when I opened my wallet I only saw 50 cents, a hairclip and a button. Oh well there’s always next month. So for now I’ll just enjoy the precious pic’s I made, and I also took some pretty cool pictures of the guests!

Rem D Koolhaas & Galahad Clark, twee mannen waar ik verliefd op ben. Ik hou van ze om de simpele reden dat zij United Nude hebben opgericht. Dit zijn geen standaard schoenen. Wat zij maken zijn architect-achtige wondertjes. Ik sprong ut mijn schoenen van blijdschap dat ik uitgenodigd was voor het presentatie feestje voor de nieuwe herfst/winter collectie. Wacht er is meer, United Nude & Iris van Herpen (top designer) werkten samen en creëerden een hele coole enkel laars. Je herkent Iris van Herpen er duidelijk in door de vissengraat-achtige structuur die in het leer is uitgesneden. De laarsjes zijn handgemaakt van Italiaans leer en verkrijgbaar in zwart of ivoor met gouden accenten. Het zijn limited editions dus als iemand de behoeft voelt om iets voor het goed doel te doen voel je vrij om ze voor mij aan te schaffen, ze zullen een warm en liefdevol thuis hebben (serieus dit is geen grap). Anyway, het feestje vond plaats in de Inited Nude winkel in Amsterdam en de co-host was Mykromag. Rem D Koolhaas & Iris van Herpen waren er zelf ook! Naast de Iris van Herpen schoen zag ik ontelbaar veel exemplaren die mijn portemonnee tegen mij lieten spreken; ‘ he is ok maak me maar open’, ‘ ik commandeer je om dit te kopen’ . Helaas zag ik toen ik mijn portemonnee opende niet meer dan 50 cent, een haarspeld en een knoop. Ach ja, dan maar volgende maand. Tot die tijd moet ik het maar doen met de foto’s die ik  gemaakt heb en ik heb ook toffe foto’s gemaakt van de gasten!

READY TO FISH_ CD release

As you might have seen on my blog before (Amsterdam International Fashion Week) Ilja Visser designs pieces you just want to cuddle; beautiful & feminine. Fabrics that make you look gorgeous but at the same time are very comfortable. A couple of months ago Ilja opened a store called READY TO FISH_

Yesterday READY TO FISH_ released a compilation CD (this will be the first one of a series) and invited some friends to celebrate. I brought my stepsister/BFF Malaya along for the ride. We drank yummy cocktails made by the Fabulous Shaker boys and had a blast! Take a look at the pictures.

Zoals je eerder al op mijn blog kon lezen (Amsterdam International Fashion week) ontwerpt designer Ilja Visser kleding waar je gewoon simpelweg mee wilt knuffelen, prachtig & vrouwelijk. Stoffen die je er geweldig uit laten zien maar waar je tegelijk ook comfortabel in kunt zijn.  Een paar maanden geleden opende Ilja Visser haar store die READY TO FISH_ heet.

Gisteren lanceerde READY TO FISH_ een compilatie CD (eerste van een serie) en nodigde vrienden uit om dit mee te vieren. Ik nam mijn stiefzusje/BFF mee. We dronken heerlijke cocktails gemaakt door de Fabulous Shakerboys en vermaakte ons prima! Bekijk de foto’s.
