Fashion can take more shapes then only garment. ABSOLUT VODKA is known for their fabulous limited edition bottles and this time the bottle is more fashionable then ever! ABSOLUT VOKDKA presents: the Glimmer bottle (limited edition). It’s a very special design made in Sweden, really a piece of art. I had the honor to come celebrate the launch in club AIR in Amsterdam. I brought my other half: my sister Alizia) and photographer Meis (thanks for the great pic’s). We were taken care of like true princesses. In the VIP section we had our own table with a bucket with ice and a GLIMMER bottle build in the middle. Nice little touch was the lightning under the transparent bucket that changed color every other minute. A very sweet hostess pored & mixed the Vodka for us all night long. Work = Fun. After snapping away some pictures from smoking hot party people we danced the night away! Don Diablo on the wheels of steel. Thank you for this amazing night ABSOLUT VODKA & Tinc PR.

Fashion uit zich in meer vormen dan alleen kleding en accessoires. ABSOLUT VODKA staat bekend om haar prachtige limited edition flessen en dit keer is de fles super fashionable! ABSOLUT VODKA presenteert: de Glimmer fles (limited edition). Het is een speciaal design uit Zweden, echt een kunstwerk. Ik had de eer om de lancering bij te wonen in club AIR in Amsterdam. Mijn partners in crime voor de avond waren mijn wederhelft (zusje Alizia) en fotograaf Meis (bedankt voor de pracht foto’s). We werden verzorgt als echte prinsesjes. In het VIP gedeelte hadden we een eigen tafel waarin een emmer met ijs was ingebouwd met daarin een GLIMMER fles. Leuk detail was dat de belichting onder de emmer die om de minuut van kleur veranderde. Een charmante hostess schonk de vodka voor ons in en maakte heerlijke mixjes. Werk = Fun! Nadat we hele hippe feestgangers op de kiek gezet hadden feesten we de hele nacht terwijl Don Diablo achter de draaitafels losging! Bedankt voor deze geweldige avond ABSOLUT VODKA & Tinc PR.

Ladies (and gentleman) hold your breath…He will be at the American Book Centre in Amsterdam to present and sign his new book ‘Nigel Barker’s Beauty Equation’ on Monday October 11th. The ABC and Hotel V present this event.

‘Nigel Barker’s Beauty Equation, draws on 20 years of experience in the beauty business and 14 seasons of judging on America’s Next Top Model to show you the formula for revealing inner beauty that will help you look great and feel even better! It looks at beauty from a different perspective. As I am French I’ve always felt a very strong connection with French design (and French food, and French cartoons for that matter). That’s just what we French people do; we act like we have something in common just because of the simple fact that we are French. I could only wish that I had something to do with Louis Vuitton but I don’t, except for the fact that I have wet dreams about LV goods (I actually prefer to call it art). What a fascinating and gorgeous craftsmanship the Vuitton house has lived up to over the years. They’re one of the most respected luxury brands in the world. Here in Amsterdam we already have a Louis Vuitton store for a while now in the PC Hooftstraat but are you ready? SURPRISE…SURPRISE, they’re opening a ‘store in store’ in Amsterdam’s luxury mall; De Bijenkorf. The store is completely ready. Even Louis Vuitton’s great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson who’s in leading the amazing empire now made a special appearance. Famous photographer Erwin Olaf created a beautiful serie for the occasion. Louis Vuitton is donating these artworks to the Rijksmuseum in name of the Art & Cultural program in Amsterdam. Public opening day for the ‘store in store’ is this Friday 03/09/10

Omdat ik Frans ben voel ik vaak een sterke connectie met franse design (en Frans eten, en franse tekenfilms dus dat zegt niets). Dat is gewoon wat wij Fransozen doen, we doen alsof we iets gemeen hebben alleen om het feit dat we Frans zijn. Ik wou dat ik ies gemeen had met Louis Vuitton maar dat heb ik niet, behalve het feit dat ik natte dromen over LV items heb (ik noem het eigenlijk liever kunst). Wat een fascinerend en prachtig vakmanschap heeft het Vuitton huis in stand gehouden door alle jaren. Ze zijn een van de meest gerespecteerde luxe merken ter wereld ooit. Hier in Amsterdam hebben we al een tijdje een Louis Vuitton winkel in de PC Hooftstraat en raad eens… er opent een ‘store in store’ winkel in de Bijenkorf, verassing! De winkel is al helemaal af. Zelfs de achter-ahter-achter-achter-achter-kleinzoon van Louis kwam voor de gelegenheid even naar ons koud kikkerlandje. Beroemde fotograaf Erwin Olaf draagt zijn steentje bij want die fotografeerde een speciale serie voor de gelegenheid. Louis Vuitton doneert deze serie aan het Rijksmuseum om bij te dragen aan Kunst & Cultuur. De publieke openingsdag van de ‘store in store’ is aanstaande vrijdag 03/09/10.

Peek-a-Boo: UIT FESTIVAL Amsterdam

While I’m putting on my cute little white sneakers with flowers I hesitate for a moment….finally I decide to change and wear my old black chunky boots. Good thinking because ‘Man it was muddy!’ at the ‘UIT FESTIVAL’ in Amsterdam yesterday. This famous yearly event takes place on the museum square and for a few days you can enjoy different artist and acts for free. I wasn’t even planning to work but I guess when you have a blog you’re constantly screening peoples outfits like a robot; ‘Zooooooof…Beep…Beeep…operation…find…fashionistas… target…located …must…take…picture’. I’m hoping you’re hearing the same TRANFORMERS voice in your head as I do while I’m writing this, if you don’t the joke sucks. As I was saying I wasn’t planning on taking street-peeks because it was kind of muddy, cold and rainy so most of the crowd didn’t dress up. Still I took a little walk trough the crowd to see if there were any hidden treasures. I must say it was hard (no judgment here I looked like crap myself, that’s why I’m not posting my outfit) but I did find two girls with the cutest little outfits. My friend Jessica looked pretty casual-fab as well so check it out!

Terwijl ik mijn schattig witte gympjes met bloemetjes aantrek aarzel ik even….uiteindelijk wissel ik ze om voor mijn oude stevige zwarte laarzen. Goed bedacht want het was modderig bij de UITMARKT in Amsterdam gisteren. Dit bekende evenement neemt jaarlijks plaats op het museumplein. Een paar dagen lang kun je van verschillende artiesten en acts gratis genieten. Ik was niet van plan om te werken maar als je een blog hebt ga je automatisch mensen hun outfits scannen al seen robot; ‘Zooooooof…Beep…Beeep…operatie…vind… fashionistas…target…located …moet…foto…nemen’. Hopelijk horen jullie ook dezelfde TRANSFORMERS stem hierbij die ik in mijn hoofd hoor anders is de grap best wel heel erg flauw. Zoals ik dus al zei was ik niet van plan om street-peeks te doen want het was modderig, regenachtig en koud. Dat betekent dat de meeste mensen niet heb beste uit de kast hadden gehaald (geen beoordeling hier, ik zag er zelf niet uit en daarom plaats ik mijn outfit ook niet). Ik ging toch maar een rondje lopen om te kijken of er verborgen schatten rondliepen. Het was moeilijk maar ik heb uiteindelijk toch twee meiden met super schattige festival outfits gespot en mijn vriendin Jessica zag er met haar casual-fab look ook uit om door een ringetje te halen.
