So I’m doing very well with my blog. Yeah! I’m proud of myself. I have a pretty large amount of loyal readers and I’m so super happy with all of your kind reactions & support. Thank you for that! This week I’m enjoying Amsterdam International Fashion Week. If you read my last couple of posts you saw that I’ve photographed a lot of fashion peeps. Being that I’m still a rookie it might occur that I don’t know somebody’s name (who could be very important in the fashion industry). Luckily I have found a tutor who will pinch me hard whenever I’m not paying attention. She will teach me all the must-knows about the rulers in fashion land (although I do know an awful lot myself). Manon (she’s a journalist & PA), from now on I’ll always do my homework properly! Oh and BTW the outfit she wore to fashion week past Thursday was very hot. Love, love, love that Zoe Karssen Tee! One of the most fun things about fashion week is looking at people’s clothing. The most unexpected combinations are pulled to attract attention! We girls all know sometimes it hurts to be pretty so we smile and take another glass of champagne to ignore the fact that are feet are hurting like hell. But hey… It’s worth it. So yeah, looking at people strutting in their flamboyant dresses and modern suits is fun but I decided to take it a step further and took some pics of the most interesting outfits. On the red carpet outside I ran into Bastiaan van Schaik (a major Dutch stylist & jury member of Holland’s next topmodel). ‘ Oh I’m sorry somebody made me laugh’ he said ‘ lets take another one’. He was having a blast, what a fun man! Inside I saw Arie Boomsma (a Dutch TV host) and he was super sweet. ‘ Of course you can take a picture of me, go ahead!’ this hot stud said. And so I did. My favorite outfits were from Maartje & Nienke two sisters who report from fashion events (ModeReporters.nl), stylist Ruud van der Poel who wears the most extravagant but awesome outfits front row (famous fashion photographer Peter Stigter took a picture of us). Oh and this FABULOUS kiddo was dressed in a little helicopter print dress, and a lady gaga-like hat (is this the new Tavi?). After one of the show’s (INDIVIDUALS) I was aloud to take a peek backstage. Enjoy the pictures & a video!

I just started this blog and already people are asking me to post outfits of myself. Well if you insist (because I’m so humble…NOT) here are some pictures of what I wore to fashion week today. There was no time (or place) to change in-between shows so this dress and me were forced to become BFF’s for the entire day. Normally the thought of wearing one brand or designer from head to tow makes my skin crawl (its so predictable) but the outfit I pulled was so hot that it didn’t matter (at least I think so). The navy colored lace dress and the fetish-like wedge heels are both from ZARA. Dear friend & partner in crime in the picture with me is Nino de Snoo (luxury blogger and lifestyle editor for Penthouse magazine).

INDIVIDUALS: catwalk show fashion week

‘Super stylish circus freaks’ that was the first thought that popped into my head when I saw the show from INDIVIDUALS. And I mean that in a really positive way. This show was stunning! INDIVUALS is a brand from graduates from the AMFI (Amsterdam International Fashion Institute). I felt the adrenaline rush trough my body while I was looking at the gorgeous Nude-colored kimono-ish dresses, turquoise trousers with a fabulous cut out, soft knitted nude dress & a must-have caramel business jacket. And then the make-up, WOW! I actually thought I was in wonderland for a moment there. Turquoise & pink eye shadow and faces painted like lion’s with thick black eyelashes. Wonderful!  Take a look at the pictures.

ADO LES SCENTS BY HYUN YEU : catwalk show fashion week

Hyun Yeu did it again… his show was magnificent! This humble designer graduated at the Gerrit Rietveld academy in 2008. A year later he won the Frans Molenaar price witch is a very important contest. After that he started his own label with menswear called ADO LES SCENTS. I had the honor to sit front row during the show. It was as if I could almost feel the fabulous fabrics he used hugging me. The angel-like male models showed shorts from shiny material, jackets cut out above the bellybutton, navy see-through blouses and perfectly tailored suits. Take a look at the pictures!
